MassiveLive — Platform Guide

Everything you need to know about using MassiveLive Command Centre. You’re already logged in — this page explains what each section does and how to get the most out of it.

🚀 Getting Started

MassiveLive is built around events. Almost everything — staff, tracking, chat, info pages, photos — is scoped to a specific event. Follow these steps to get operational quickly.

  1. Create a Customer
Go to Customers in the sidebar and add the company or organisation running the event. Every event belongs to a customer.
  2. Create a Venue (optional but recommended)
Go to Venues and add the location. You can attach a precise boundary polygon if you have one from a NetGnssScan survey.
  3. Create the Event
Go to Events › New Event. Set the name, date range, customer and venue. The event becomes the container for all staff, tracking data and communications.
  4. Add Users and Assign Them to the Event
Go to Users to invite staff. Then open the event and use Assignments to assign users with a role and optional call sign. Only assigned users can report location or see event content.
  5. Publish Info Pages
Use Info Pages inside the event to send briefing documents, maps and notices to field staff. Target all staff or a specific role.
  6. Assign Training Material
Use Training to publish role-based onboarding for ushers, security staff and supervisors. Add how-to videos, documents and refreshers so the team arrives prepared before the event starts.
  7. Monitor Live Tracking
Once staff check in on their devices, go to Tracking to see live GPS positions. SOS alerts appear instantly with a countdown timer and exact GPS coordinates.
🎓

Training

MassiveLive Training helps you prepare staff before the shift starts. Publish material for ushers, security teams and supervisors, and keep practical how-to content available in one place.

  • Upload short how-to videos, PDFs and operational instructions.
  • Scope training globally, per customer or to a specific event.
  • Assign recurring refreshers for roles that need repeated training.
  • Track who completed the material and when they completed it.
  • Use simulator sessions to rehearse operational scenarios before live deployment.

📖 Feature Guide

🏠

Dashboard

The home screen. Shows a summary of active events, recent SOS alerts and platform-wide staff status at a glance.

  • Click any event card to jump directly into that event’s detail view.
  • Unresolved SOS alerts are highlighted in red — click to open the full alert with GPS detail.
📅

Events

Central management for every event your organisation runs. Each event has its own assignments, info pages, chat history, photos and tracking log.

  • Assignments tab — assign users to the event with a role (e.g. Security, Medical) and an optional call sign.
  • Info Pages tab — create and publish briefing documents for this specific event.
  • Photos tab — see all incident photos uploaded by field staff during the event.
  • Events can be set to Active, Upcoming or Completed — staff only see active events on their devices.
📍

Live Tracking Map

A real-time satellite map showing the GPS position of every staff member currently sharing location. Positions update continuously while staff are checked in on MassiveCrew.

  • Use the event filter dropdown to switch between events or view all at once.
  • Filter by role to show only security, medical, etc.
  • Click a pin on the map to see the staff member’s name, call sign, role and last update time.
  • Click a name in the staff list panel to pan the map and highlight that person’s pin.
  • Staff who have stopped sharing location show as faded — their last known position is retained.
🚨

SOS Alerts

When a field staff member triggers an SOS on MassiveCrew, an alert is broadcast instantly to all coordinators logged into MassiveLive. The alert contains the person’s exact GPS coordinates, name, call sign and event context.

  • Active SOS alerts are shown prominently in the header bar with a flashing indicator.
  • Open the alert to see the full GPS location — the map centres on the person automatically.
  • Click Resolve once the situation is handled. Resolved alerts are archived with a timestamp.
  • All coordinators see the same alert simultaneously — the first to resolve it closes it for everyone.
💬

Chat

Real-time messaging between MassiveCC coordinators and field staff on MassiveCrew. Messages are event-scoped — each event has its own chat channel.

  • Use the event selector at the top of the chat panel to switch channels.
  • Messages from field staff appear in real time — no refresh needed.
  • Coordinators can send messages visible to all staff assigned to that event.
  • Push notifications are delivered to MassiveCrew devices even when the app is in the background.
📋

Info Pages

Rich-text documents published to field staff for a specific event. Use them for pre-event briefings, site maps, emergency procedures, rules of conduct or any operational notice your team needs to read.

  • Go to Events › [your event] › Info Pages and click New Page.
  • Set a title, write your content using the rich-text editor, and choose whether it targets all staff or a specific role.
  • Published pages appear instantly in the MassiveCrew app for assigned staff.
  • Pages can be edited or deleted at any time — updates are reflected immediately on field devices.
📷

Incident Photos

Field staff on MassiveCrew can photograph incidents, hazards or anything requiring documentation and upload directly from their device. All photos land here, attached to the correct event.

  • Go to Events › [your event] › Photos to see all images from that event.
  • Each photo shows the uploader’s name, timestamp and any attached note.
  • Photos can be downloaded individually for incident reports and post-event debrief.
👥

Users

Manage who has access to the platform. Visible to Customer Admins and System Admins only.

  • Create accounts for field staff, supervisors and other coordinators.
  • Assign roles: Staff (field device only), CustomerAdmin (full access within the customer), SysAdmin (platform-wide access).
  • Users are not event-specific — the same person can be assigned to multiple events simultaneously.
  • Deactivating a user blocks login immediately across all apps.
